How we help trades entrepreneurs grow

Let’s start with some of our exercises that we do.
It really begins with getting honest about the current picture:
What is our rough plan today? It’ll change, sure, but this is what it is today. Who are all the players? What are all your assets? What’s the business look like now? What does everybody do in the business now? What does the money look like? How do you live?
All these different things, we just get it all out on the table.
And then we pull way back. Because at a super high level view, what do you want to have happen?
If you could just wave a magic wand and have it the way you want it to be, what would that look like?
That’s the question that matters. And most business owners have never actually stopped to answer it.
Then, we build a roadmap:
This is a whiteboarding exercise. We map out things like: This person does this, this person stays in the business, this person doesn’t, maybe we sell it, maybe we transition it to the kids, all those pieces.
We just start to map it out.
So now you’ve got two pictures, right? Where you are today, and where you want to be.
And the gap between those two is the whole job. Once you can say, this is what I want, and this is what it looks like to me, it’s like, OK, well, to get you there, this is what your assets, your net worth needs to look like.
That’s when it stops being a feeling and becomes a structure. A (BuiltWealth™) blueprint, if you will.
We can see the foundation that has to go in, the order things have to happen, who else needs to be at the table. It’s all wet cement at this point, so we can shape it however we need to, but at least now we’re building toward something instead of just reacting to whatever comes through the door.
Finally, we help you make the moves.
Now, here’s where a lot of plans fall apart. People hand you 72 things to do and you do none of them. So we don’t do that.
Instead, we help you figure out, from that vision build, what are the most important things we need to do soon to keep moving you towards that. Just one or two things. What’s important now.
And then we stay on it with you.
We get together in the spring, we get together in the fall, we talk in between, and we say, how are we doing on that? So you’re never drifting.
We act as an accountability partner and give you the things that we’ve seen work, those systems that worked for somebody else that might be the right fit for you, too.
Because at the end of the day, that’s the whole point.
Helping you get from where you are now to where you want to be.
And hopefully realizing your vision for yourself and your life and your family.
