President

Michael P. Pallozzi

PRESIDENT

Michael Pallozzi counts his most satisfying career moment as the day HFM Investment Advisors became a fiduciary for all clients. The firm’s previous broker-dealer arrangement had left Michael chafing over the challenges the team needed to surmount to act in clients’ best interest. Now, as an independent Registered Investment Advisor, the firm could freely serve as clients’ fiduciary advisor in providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management.

Michael launched his financial services career in 1998 as an intern from Rutgers University. He went on to develop a successful life insurance and financial planning practice working with closely held business owners and employees.  Today, he draws on that experience to manage the personal wealth and corporate 401(k) plans of business owner clients of HFM. He helps coordinate their personal and business objectives and provides integrated strategies that include succession and retirement planning.

In addition, Michael manages extensive responsibilities as our President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. He executes and maintains our firm’s vision for the wealth management and 401(k) departments, and he ensures that we remain compliant with state and federal regulations. He has also led our annual coat drive for the past 10 years, a successful outreach that he finds thoroughly gratifying.

Outside of the office, the Washington Township resident relishes time with his wife, Angella, and three children. Many people don’t know this, but Michael was 15 when he first saw Angella walking on a beach, and he immediately knew they would be married. His persistence paid off and they started dating six months later and married 10 years after that. The couple love their times in Italy, especially on the Amalfi Coast and Positano. Michael also appreciates time at New Jersey’s Ocean City Beach, long rides on his road bike, and relaxing with a good bourbon and cigar.

He was hooked and began working with up-and-coming business leaders like him to help them achieve their financial goals.

A commitment to life-long learning, Jason earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in the spring of 2016.

Jason is an investment specialist, business development professional and the firms’ technology guide in helping HFM provide a new standard of efficiency and education for our clients. Catherine Allen-Carlozo, CFP®

FINANCIAL ADVISOR

When one of Catherine’s clients sat at an auto showroom talking with a car dealer about a new car a couple of years ago, she put Catherine on the phone to make sure she would get the best deal possible. She got it.

That’s what Catherine means by providing comprehensive financial planning advice to clients. Catherine knows finances just don’t happen on a balance sheet. It impacts real life opportunities and consequences everyone of her clients face.

Catherine’s mission for the past 30 years has been to build the sort of client relationships that make them feel comfortable. From calling her for car and house buying advice to helping them construct a new future should they face life altering situations, Catherine’s clients know they have a trusted advisor on their side.

Catherine is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, an earned designation that helps ensure she is always prepared to educate and empower her clients. After graduating from Rider University, she began as an assistant at Merrill Lynch and soon became a financial consultant who focused on stock trading and mutual fund investing. Having earned her CFP certification in 2006, Catherine turned her attention more towards providing comprehensive financial planning as well as asset management.

She became a valued member of the HFM Investment Advisors, LLC team in 2018 and changed her role to a Registered Investment Advisor, officially leaving the commission world behind. Catherine is also a Retirement Income Certified Professional.

When not helping clients through life events, or important personal purchases, Catherine enjoys her life with her husband Anthony Carlozo and is step mom to three children. They reside in Mullica Hill, NJ. She is quite the Zumba enthusiast. But the exercise is nothing compared to her fascination with Space and the universe, as her brother, Andrew Allen, is a NASA Astronaut.

Caitlin Ege

RETIREMENT PLAN ASSOCIATE

There are intricacies to every single component of company 401(k) plans. If an employer were to mishandle any of them, they could be subject to fines and a poorly functioning retirement plan with their employees. This is why Caitlin Ege’s job is so important. She is the “point person” of our HFM401(k) Process with our retirement plan sponsors and participants.

As a former client service administrator for JP Morgan Securities, Caitlin learned how to manage intricacies as part of the administrative support team.  She learned the value of maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of people and departments; from trading, margin, credit, and banking products. Through this role and others since, Caitlin developed a unique and intricate perspective in effective management of payrolls, retirement contributions, employee account management, 1099 processing and more.

In her role at HFM, Caitlin works to protect plan sponsors, guide positive participant outcomes and unify the client’s service team. She leads the coordination of investment fund change documentation, ensures continuous client, financial advisor, TPA and recordkeeper contacts through the implementation and onboarding process. She meets with perspective clients, and stays vigilant to the needs/updates of our current clients and their employees.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, she was a long way from her Long Island home where she enjoys a close-knit relationship with her two brothers and really large extended family.

To deepen her roots in the Southern New Jersey region, Caitlin has been an enthusiastic volunteer with the Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity and the Gloucester County United Way.
